Our Story
It all started when our founder, Jane Smith, moved into her first apartment after college. She quickly discovered two things: she loved to cook, and she hated doing dishes. The boring plastic dish brushes on the market just weren’t cutting it.
Jane thought, “Why do dish brushes have to be so dull? Doing the dishes doesn’t have to feel like a chore.” And so, the idea for Vigar® was born.
After months of sketching and prototyping brushes in her free time, Jane developed a dish brush with a unique daisy design that scrubbed dishes with efficiency but also brought a smile to her face. She shared her creation with friends and family, who all wanted one of their own. It was clear Jane had stumbled upon something special.
In 2018, Jane officially launched Vigar® with four initial daisy dish brush designs. Working out of her home, she handled everything from production to packaging orders in her spare bedroom.
Word quickly spread about these cheerful dish brushes that made tackling dirty pots and pans almost fun. Within a few months, Vigar® was being featured in home goods magazines and popular lifestyle blogs.
As demand grew, we moved production from Jane’s apartment into a facility staffed by a small team of Vigar® employees. This allowed us to ramp up production while maintaining our commitment to high-quality materials and workmanship.
Today, Vigar® offers a wide selection of dish brushes and other household essentials that are equal parts practical and delightful. While our product line has grown, our mission remains the same: to spread joy while tackling everyday household tasks.
